Mark Ingram won the

This is the apropriate pose for Mark Ingram.
Heisman trophy Saturday night and in doing so gave Alabama their first winner ever. Ingram edged out Toby Gerhart by a mere 28 points in the closet race ever. Ingram received 227 first place votes compared to 222 for Gerhart. The final count was 1304 votes for Ingram and 1276 votes for Gerhart.
Ingram was tarried eyed and overwhelmed with the honor of being in the same class as past Heisman winners. He thanked everyone from his mother and father to even his teachers. He carried himself with class and will represent the trophy and its company with the same. I love college football and am glad that the right person won the trophy this year.
Ingram grew up in the tough neighborhood of Flint Michigan. It was in this environment growing up that taught him to overcome any obstacles and believe in yourself that anything is possible. Ingram is only a Sophomore and has two more years left to get even better. Will he become a two time Heisamn winner and join the only other two time winner, Archie Griffin? It is a great stroyline for the next college foot ball season.
Ingram and his Alabama teammates still have some unfinished business to attend to, They have a date with Texas on January 7 in the Rose Bowl for the National Championship. Will it come up roses for Alabama and Ingram? It would seem that the momentum from the Heisman is a good omen and prelude to this possibility. I can’t wait for him to show off his versatile skills in this game. We will see if the National Championship trophy is crimson in color and feel as well.
