Peyton Manning handled the numerous questions on media day much like he handled defenses all this year, masterfully with confidence. He talked as if he belonged there, and the infectious way in which he handled himself will be invaluable to his fellow teamates. Manning realizes the small window of opportunity he has to win another Super Bowl and will be focused on the ultimate prize in the NFL. He is a general on and off the field.
Manning is proud to be a Indianapolis Colt and knows he represents all the greats that came before him.
Manning will be looking for Super Bowl Ring #2
He can join the likes of legend Johnny Unitas if he can pull off Super Bowl #2. He embodies the difference between a cocky and confident quarterback. Manning has his playing do his talking and not his mouth. I love to see him make the adjustments at the line of scrimmage and make that great completion after the audible. He is as a cerebral quarterback as you get and that makes him truly masterful.
The Saints defense will have their hands full all night long.Manning’s ability to read the defense in front of him will keep them on their heels. A defense on their heels does not have the stability to stop Peyton and company. The Saints will have to take gambles for turnovers and those gambles could turn into big plays for the Colt’s offense. They will be at the mercy of the “Masterful Manning”.
Manning knows a win Sunday will supplant his name in Colts and NFL history. He realizes what is on the line and will nothing short of masterful. I do not envy the Saint’s defense, and Manning will be ready to sling the pigskin all night long. I t could be a very long night for them in South Florida.

Tonights Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando has two contrasting teams with one one of them having a chance to end the season with momentum that can carry them into regaining national prominence…
Randy Shannon will hope the Canes win tonight in the Champs Sports Bowl and carry momentum into next year.
The Miami Hurricanes will be taking on the Wisconsin Badgers. Both teams are 9-3. The Hurricanes will be looking for their first ten win season since 2003. This season ending with a bowl victory over the Badgers could be what the doctor ordered to get this program back to the dominance they enjoyed in the past. Miami started the season unranked and now sits at #14. Miami has won four of their last five and are coming off a impressive 31-10 victory in South Florida. A loss tonight could take away from all the good this year and could be a carry over to next year. Miami needs to win and keep the train rolling.
This game pits Miami’s passing game against the Badgers running game. The Canes are led by their Sophomore quarterback Jacory Harris. Harris has been the main reason for the Canes success. He has 23 TD’s and 3164 yards passing this year.Wisconsin is vulnerable to the pass as they gave up 219.9 yards per game making them 66th in the nation against it. He has been a leader all year and needs that leadership at its best to carry Miami to a victory tonight. The only drawback on Harris is that he threw 17 picks. He needs to make goo decisions tonight.
Wisconsin is a great rushing team, averaging 206.7 yards per game. That is good for 14th in the entire nation. They are led by the Big 10 offensive player of the year John Clay. Clay ran his way to 1369 yards and a whopping 16 touchdowns this year. Wisconsin will have a great chance of winning if Clay and the Badgers can get the run going and keep Harris and the Canes passing game off the field.
I love a contrasting style game like this. Running vs. Passing. While I usually favor Running, I am going to go with the passing of the Canes. I think Miami will be motivated in their home state to get the victory. I think their coach Randy Shannon has this team going in the right direction ,and Miami will keep their momentum going into next year. This will get the Canes back to the prominence of the College Football world.
